This Week at CVS ⏱️
We kicked off the week with Alex bringing in some of our collection cans that have been placed in pubs around his local area. Thank you to all the establishments who continue to support us! 🪙
Over the last two years we have been in partnership with Thales on a number of projects. The Thales team arrived this week to build into place the new memorial wreath stand at the Govan War Memorial. Thanks to Charlie Graham for the temporary wooden stand he put in place for last November's commemorations. This new, metal memorial stand, is a permanent replacement designed to stand the test of time. The re-dedication of the memorial stand will take place soon, details in due course. 🎖️
Wednesday we welcomed another visit from Barber Graeme, who provided haircuts to our veterans — a service that is free to all veterans and funded entirely by CVS 💇
Thursday and Scoff & Banter came and went with all of the usual elements - free prize bingo, and the ever-entertaining though completely bonkers Kamikaze Karaoke! 🎉
All of this was topped off as always with our weekend hack the weekly brunch - come and enjoy great food, good company and get your weekly washing done for free!
Reminder that our doors open Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. As always, breakfast is available until 11:00 AM, followed by a free hot lunch at 12:30 PM for any veteran.
