Weekly Roundup: 20th - 24th October 2025
Vol. 33

We spent time at Govan War Memorial laying wreaths for Remembrance this year on the new structure that was built.

Team CVS were honoured to attend the opening of the Glasgow Garden of Remembrance at Kelvingrove Park earlier today by invitation of Royal British Legion Scotland. There was a moment of Remembrance and Reflection, organisational wreathes were laid and the memorial gardens officially dedicated.

CVS were delighted to host the AGM of Scottish Independent Celebrants Association Group on Sunday. A great conference was enjoyed by all attendees both in the room and online.

Big shout out to one of our partnership organisations the Rangers FC Foundation for their generous gift of tickets for the Rangers Vs Kilmarnock match taking place on Sunday at 15:00.

Over the next few months, we will be pausing our weekly roundups to focus on a new segment, “Life at CVS.” This series will highlight a range of stories and insights, from veteran experiences to behind-the-scenes perspectives on how CVS operates.

Reminder that our doors open Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. As always, breakfast is available until 11:00 AM, followed by a free hot lunch at 12:30 PM for any veteran.
