⚓ S/S Hestmanden ⚓
This week we took a trip back in time with a visit to the historic D/S Hestmanden, docked at the Port of Leith! This naval convoy ship was a key symbol of Norway’s maritime heritage and resilience, and the last remaining Norwegian merchant ship that served in convoys during both World Wars playing a vital role in transporting goods through dangerous wartime waters.
Exploring the historic ship gave us a fascinating glimpse into the Nortraship fleet and Norway's naval history. The trip highlighted the ship’s role in the country's wartime history and significance during both World Wars, crossing dangerous waters and delivering key cargo. It was a excellent trip, and one that won't be forgotten anytime soon! 🚢

🚚 Bike Haul 🚚
Earlier in the week we focused on clearing out old and damaged bikes from our lot as part of an ongoing effort to keep our space clean and functional. Each unusable bike was carefully gathered and hauled away for proper recycling, ensuring that we’re disposing of materials in an environmentally responsible way. By removing these bikes, we not only improved the overall appearance of the area but also created much-needed room for new inventory and better organisation within the bike lot.

Special Mentions
We saw another member added to our list of players "Grannied" this week as Brian was dealt a defeat against John, resulting in him wearing our famous Granny hat for the rest of the day - See you on the wall Brian! 🎱
Of course, our trip to Leith was complete with yet another solid Scoff & Banter. We shared a meal, some laughs, and enjoyed great conversation and karaoke! 🎤
To wrap it all up, Friday had a relaxed atmosphere around the centre helping everyone recharge and ease into the weekend 🍳🥓
