Drug Awareness Training Certificates

We were pleased to receive our official certificates from Scottish Drugs Forum following our drug awareness training session!

RAF Benevolent Fund Visit

It was great hosting Lisa Innes from our partner organisation, the RAF Benevolent Fund, yesterday.

If you’ve previously served in the RAF and are interested in how the RAF Benevolent Fund can help you, Lisa will be back in September to host another drop-in clinic. No appointment is necessary.

CVS Full Scottish Friday

Busy and productive Friday in the Centre and a cracking end to the week. It was big breakfast Friday and the troops and attached ranks had a stonking brunch.

Billy Wood of the Saracen Auld Boys dropped in to hand over a cheque for the grand total of £1115.00. The cash was raised by musical performances and we thank Billy and the rest of team Saracen for their generous donation.

John Baird of Advice Direct Scotland Limited, visited with a view to partnership working in the near future with regular broad spectrum advice clinics across a wide range of services including financial/benefits advice, debt management, consumer/energy advice, tax advice and information on benefits, work, housing and family matters. This is free at the point of use for veterans and their families/dependents.

Brilliant week, thanks for all your support!

Scottish Drugs Forum: Drug Awareness Training

We were delighted to host Charlotte Robb of Scottish Drugs Forum into the Centre yesterday for a drug awareness training day for staff and veteran volunteers. It was a stimulating and sometimes challenging day!

Advice Direct Scotland Event

Our staff were delighted to attend the recent launch of Advocacy.Scot by advice.scot.

It was great to learn all about this new service, which helps bring independent advocacy support, ranging from individual rights to accessing appropriate services, closer to those who need it most.

A big thank you to Advice Direct Scotland for the invitation and we look forward to continuing our ongoing partnership.

CVS / Venture Trust

We were delighted to welcome the Minister for Veterans, Jamie Hepburn for Cumbernauld and Kilsyth MSP, in our Quiet Room recently.

The visit reflects our ongoing partnership with Venture Trust and our shared commitment to supporting the veteran community.
