D/S Hestmanden
Visit
29th May 2025
This historic vessel is the last remaining Norwegian merchant ship that served in convoys during both World War I and World War II. Known as a symbol of Norway’s maritime heritage and resilience, S/S Hestmanden played a crucial role in transporting goods and supplies through perilous wartime waters.
During our visit, we will have the opportunity to explore the ship, learn about its remarkable history, and gain insight into the lives of the sailors who served aboard. The tour offers a unique chance to engage with a living piece of history and reflect on the courage and endurance of the Norwegian merchant navy.
